The battery-powered powder duster e-DR 5 from Birchmeier

In fine vegetable cultivation, rock flour and powdered plant additives are among the proven means of specifically supporting soil activity, plant health, and nutrient dynamics. With the new e-DR 5, a battery-powered powder duster, Birchmeier is introducing the first device specifically designed for the efficient and even application of these substances. The device is powered by the TLK 35 battery compressor, which is the heart of the manufacturer's new e-line.

The main advantage of the system lies in its constantly available working pressure: the pressure generated by the TLK 35 is strong enough to apply even the finest material safely and continuously – without the physical strain that is typical of purely manual devices. The electronic control reliably maintains the set pressure at the desired level, thus producing a homogeneous dust plume. Users can flexibly adjust it between 0.5 and 3.5 bar to suit the culture, medium, and application target.

The powerful compressor builds up pressure in seconds. In practice, the 5-liter device can apply around three kilograms of powder in less than three minutes, depending on the agent. This makes the device attractive for larger areas as well. The high amount of dust per unit of time enables efficient work progress with consistent application quality. The replaceable 4.0 Ah 18-volt rechargeable battery from CAS allows the user maximum flexibility.

The e-DR 5 is part of the new e-line, whose devices are powered by the TLK 35 battery compressor. The series includes various models for different applications—from spraying to foaming to dusting—and thus offers a wide range of uses for a variety of requirements.
