CC carts, crates, and other transport containers pass through numerous stages in the supply chain. Adhering plant residues or soil particles can introduce pathogens such as fungi, bacteria, or viruses, which then spread to the cultivation tables. This increases the risk of operationally relevant infections for nurseries. Foam disinfection offers effective hygienic protection.

Birchmeier has developed the new e-Foam 7 battery foam device for mobile and flexible use in nurseries. The battery compressor builds up a working pressure of up to 3.5 bar and ensures uniform foam formation. The adhesive foam significantly extends the contact time of the disinfectant. With a 4.0 Ah CAS battery pack, around 300 to 600 m² of surface area can be foamed. The electronic control system keeps the pressure constant and enables even application – without any manual repumping.

The e-Foam 7 is part of Birchmeier's new e-Line. All devices in this line use the TLK-35 compressor with CAS replaceable battery. This makes not only foam applications, but also spray and powder applications easy and convenient. At the same time, existing three-, five-, and seven-liter plastic devices from the manufacturer can be sustainably retrofitted with the compressor.
